Lead Carpenter / Foreman

Full time Pay depends on experience

You run the job. This is the role for a seasoned carpenter who can read plans, set the pace for a small crew, and keep a remodel moving without being managed.

What you'll do

  • Run day-to-day work on residential remodels, additions, and light commercial jobs
  • Lay out and execute framing, structural, and finish work
  • Direct carpenters and laborers on site and keep the crew productive
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and flag issues before they become change orders
  • Keep the site clean, safe, and inspection-ready

What we're looking for

  • Several years of hands-on construction experience, including remodel work
  • Able to read plans and work from a written scope
  • Comfortable leading a small crew and talking to homeowners
  • Full set of hand tools

Carpenter / Finish Carpenter

Full time Pay depends on experience

Framing through finish. If you can hang a door so it stays square and case it so it looks right, we want to talk to you.

What you'll do

  • Framing, demo, and structural repair on remodels and additions
  • Doors, trim, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
  • Work from plans and direction from the lead carpenter
  • Keep tools, materials, and the work area in order

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on construction experience — rough, finish, or both
  • Accurate measuring and layout, clean workmanship
  • Own hand tools

General Laborer / Helper

Full time $20.00 / hour Entry level

The way into the trade. You'll support the carpenters, learn the sequence of a build, and pick up real skills from people who've done it for decades.

What you'll do

  • Demolition, site cleanup, and debris haul-out
  • Move and stage materials for the crew
  • Assist carpenters with framing, blocking, and layout
  • Basic tool and equipment handling and upkeep

What we're looking for

  • Some hands-on construction or physical trade experience
  • Shows up on time, every day, ready to work
  • Basic hand tools
  • Willingness to learn and take direction

Requirements for every role

These apply across the board. If all four are true, you're worth talking to.

Experience

Hands-on construction experience — more for the carpenter roles, some for the laborer position.

License & transportation

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get yourself to job sites around Yuba-Sutter.

Your own tools

A basic set of hand tools. We supply the power tools and equipment.

Physically able

Able to lift, carry, and work on your feet outdoors — including through Sacramento Valley summer heat.
